About Intermountain Health Care (IHC)
Intermountain Health Care (IHC) has been offering health plans since 1983. There are currently 22 Utah Intermountain Health Care (IHC) hospitals statewide. Over 2,800 physicians are associated with Utah IHC health insurance plans.
There are three different Utah Intermountain Health Care (IHC) plans. To find out more about each IHC health insurance plan, request a quote or contact us. Utah Intermountain Health Care (IHC) insurance plans also offer three different doctor networks; IHC Med (approx. 800 doctors), IHC Select Med (approx. 1,900 doctors), and IHC Care (approx. 2,800 doctors). Offering three networks of doctors allows you to adjust your premium by changing the size of the doctor network available to you and your family. The most popular IHC insurance network is IHC Select Med. The IHC Select Med network stretches from Ogden to Provo. To find out which networks your doctor is on, please click here or contact us.
IHC Utah insurance also allows you to use hospitals that are exclusive to the Utah IHC health plan, such as LDS Hospital, Cottonwood Hospital, and Alta View Hospital. In areas that are served by the IHC health plan, most residents are within a 15 minute drive to the nearest IHC-affiliated physician.
